Hailing from Sutton Coldfield, Deeming is one to keep an eye on during his time with the Baggies.
A confident, left-footed central midfielder who excels from dead ball scenarios, Cole has established himself as one of the leaders in the academy ranks and is a boyhood Baggies fan.
Deeming has been in Albion's youth system since the age of six, and there was no better reward for so many years of dedication to the team you support than by making your senior debut for them - something the Cole did as a substitute against Fleetwood during Albion's Carabao Cup clash with Fleetwood in August 2024.
The central midfielder took a big step forward in his professional development at the end of his first year as a scholar by signing his professional contract. It was another sign of the club's desire to keep its best young talent at The Hawthorns for years ahead, with Cole committing himself to the Baggies until June 2026.
Overall, the 2023/24 campaign was the catalyst for Deeming's pro deal. Having started off in the U18s group, Cole, like many before him, made the step up to the 21s team and looked comfortable at a higher age group - scoring on his PL2 debut against Everton in December 2023.
He ended the campaign with some good form in the scholarship group too, most notably against Southampton, where he netted two goals and provided an assist to help his young team-mates come from two goals down to beat Southampton 3-2. In total, he netted three goals and contributed four assists in the U18 Premier League, while scoring twice for the PL2 team.
Cole caught the eye over the 24/25 term, skippering the U18s to an FA Youth Cup quarter-final - a run which saw him score three goals across the four ties - scoring five goals across PL2, PL Cup and National League Cup competitions. The standout moment from that campaign came when Deeming scored a brace of goals in a 4-3 triumph over Arsenal in April 2025.
The midfielder has enjoyed plenty of morale-boosting experiences during his time at Albion, and he will hope to use confidence gained from those to propel him into men's football on a regular basis in the near future.
