Joe swapped his native New Zealand for The Hawthorns when he penned terms in September 2024.
The shot-stopper signed a two-year deal with the Baggies, with a further 12-month option in the club's favour.
He joined up with Albion's Premier League 2 team having acquired plenty of senior minutes back home.
Wallis played between the sticks for Western Springs and Auckland City, and the latter was where the goalkeeper enjoyed success. He was part of the squad which won two OFC (Oceania Football Confederation) Champions League trophies, while also lifting the same honour at U19/20 level.
Joe has represented New Zealand at U19 level and made his debut during a 10-0 win over Papa New Guinea in the 2024 OFC Championship for that age group. Wallis has also been away with his country's U20 team. He was back in that group during the summer of 2025 for the first time since becoming a Baggie, playing in a friendly defeat to Chile.
That call-up came after a solid first campaign in England with the club's academy, making over 10 appearances for the 21s across PL2, PL Cup and National League Cup competitions - with the standout of those coming in a 5-0 away win against Liverpool in January 2025.
More opportunities like those are sure to follow for Joe during his time in the Black Country, and after being involved in several first-team matchday squads, senior football will be top of the agenda for Wallis during his future at The Hawthorns.
